About The Friends of Cannon Hill Common

The Friends of Cannon Hill Common are a group of local residents who care about looking after the Common so that it can continue to be enjoyed by all.

Established in 1995, we have worked closely with Merton Council to maintain and add to the amenities on the Common.

We have been involved in successful bids to the Norland Trust for new paths, to the Heritage Lottery Fund for a grant to renew the lake and the area around it, and to the BBC Breathing Places Fund for money to provide a variety of improvements to encourage community use.

We continue to maintain regular communication with Merton Council and idverde - the Council's maintenance contractor - regarding any issues relating to the Common.

We run a number of events throughout the year such as the evening bat walk, the Great British Picnic and regular litter picks.

Joining the Friends of Cannon Hill Common is easy, just complete the form here.

New committee members are always welcome at our quarterly meetings - more information here.
